Default Do's & Don'ts of a eBook

I'm working on my new eBook landing page... And this is my first time making a eBook page so I'm wondering, what are some good things to add to my site? Some things to avoid putting in my site?

When you visit a product site what draws your attention and what strays your attention? Curious to know?

For the FYI it's a Traffic gaining eBook

Landing Page for eBook

(1) Strong Headline - why should I continue reading;

(2) Specific benefit bullet points - what I will learn or be able to do;

(3) eBook graphic;

(4) Reason to Optin: Free Chapter, 5-part minicourse, or better, a video for opting in;

(5) Optin box;

You can do several things.

1. Have a strong customer header graphic on the top of your sales copy

2. Have a free giveaway on the left side of your sales copy, once the view visits the site, they can see it.

3. Relate the sales wit your main keyword phrase at least 20 times so it can be seen by the search engine

4. State all benefits of them buying the product, not the features.
No one cares about feature, they want to know the benefits of buying the products.

5. Make give the visitor at least about 3 bonuses. You want them to feel that your product is a steal.

Default Landing Page

I am also working on the same thing.

One book that gave me some good insights is "Web Copy That Sells" by Maria Veloso.

It pointed me in the right direction and has some great information for web specific copy.

http://minisitesprofitsexposed.com/ - free video course (don't bother with the upgrade, it's not worth it) that talks you through all you need to know. It's brilliant!
