I have looked around the forums and found some people talking about an autotransfer system with paypal. What I mean is you have some kind of eGood and someone buys it through paypal. How can you set it up so that after they buy it the file is sent to them or they can download it right away so that you dont have to send it manually?

I use AWeber for newsletter management and the like. With a service like that you can sell through Paypal and have the response go directly to Aweber that sends an email with whatever you want in it. You can include a link for people to access what you want and they can download without your doing anything (except setup of course).

You can do is create a thankyou page where you will have a link for download.

Than you create a encrypted buy button that you can create from paypal that will have thank you page and once the payment is received they will be redirected to the thank you page and download what ever you selling.

With Patels way, what would stop people from going directly to the thank you/ download page?

Unless you use some type script this is best way I can think off and the thankyou page would be encrypted in the paypal button code

The other way off course is sending email manulay with the download link.

Than using script will need some knowledge of setting the script.

First, if you put it into a folder with a weird/complex name then only someone who was given the folder name would likely be able to get it. Say one person buys and gives the address to someone else.

Second, you can always set up a folder with a login/password. That way you could change folders every once in a while. Tell people they only have 30 days to download for example. When you start a new folder leave the old one working for a month.

You can get more complicated (like programming separate passwords for each purchase using a database, etc.) but if someone is that intent on stealing they would likely find a way. They probably would never buy either even if there was no other way to get what you offer. You have to decide how much work and expense it is worth to you.
