This one happened to me a few days ago and it wasn't intentional. It's been my biggest "visitor day" thus far. I'm not aggressively promoting my site as I have a ton of content to pump out. But YES I went to bed around 11:30 with I guess 20 or so visitors and woke up the next morning with 57. The links were the last thing I'd done before going to bed.
