Default Inbound link surprise!!

Lately I have been looking through my inbound links and to my surprise I have found that other people are posting my links on forums. Others post my link in forums that I am active in and forums that I have never heard of before. This is great my website is being promoted without me lifting a finger but I found something I don’t know what to make of. One person copied and pasted one of my entire pages onto a forum. At first I was mad about it then I realized it had three links to my website. I also realized that someone that post on that forum regularly did this. I don’t know if I should be happy that someone found it useful enough to post my page and be grateful for the links or be mad that someone copied my page. I mean someone else is promoting my website for we in a way. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how did you react? My website is new (less than a year) so I am not use to things like this and don’t know what to think of it

I'm in the same position but instead of copying pages, people are redistributing files that I made. They do end up leaving a link back to the website but they're taking away income that I could be generating through download pages.

I think you shouldn't take this too lightly. You're only receiving a small number of visitors compared to what you could be receiving if they only posted a paragraph and told users to go to your page to read the entire article. Contact the forum's administrator and ask them to remove everything except a short paragraph. They'll probably understand.

Yeah, the affiliate link is made specifically for you and it doesn't matter where it is posted - you still get a commission if someone buys from it.

I have had my stuff copied and people have claimed it as their own writing without posting any of my links. At least they kept your links and didn't claim it as their own.

If people are interested in what that person posted they will click your link to see more, so I don't think I would do anything about it.

I guess u must have great compelling content, and provide valuable info, but i was confused that is that okay to "One person copied and pasted one of my entire pages onto a forum"?
