I was wondering it was an idea I had. And, I was wondering if I contacted some companies who are related to my eBook and email them offering them my eBook for them to offer free to there customers.

I was wondering is this a could techinque to use to promote a eBook or should I just avoid it?

I don't see what you stand to gain by doing this. I thought the idea of an Ebook was to sell it. And it's hardly like an Ebook is something people will buy again so I don't think 'sample copies' would be a good idea. Maybe you could offer a small part of your ebook free, with a note as to where they could buy the rest, that would be better.

I think if you offer your ebook for free, you should not only include the link to your website in the ebook but ALSO affiliate links, so yessss you're offering it for free, but you can still make money if the people who read your free ebook use the affiliate links in it.
