Default How to market to webmasters?

I have decided to focus all my time now on my advertising guide website, which has a target audience of webmasters. Does anyone know any good places to reach this target audience? So far I can only think of forums like this one and traffic exchanges. Thanks.

It all depends on the product...webmasters are highly technical people. It would have to b something that they don't already know.

You can do email marketing. You can contact webmasters and offer your service.
You can also use advertising sites, post your product/services and let interested webmasters contact you.

FFA links are used mainly by webmasters, so try a few of them. Write some articles and submit them to article directories with back links to your site. There are tons of places you could advertise if you have a budget.

I think make maximum links with your related web pages that is the perfect way to increase back linking and effective for search engine traffic.

Directory submission and link exchange are still among the most effective promotion methods to drive link popularity. When choosing which directory to submit and which site to swap links, we webmasters always focus on those established site who already get a certain ranking position in Google. With regard to those new sites, no matter how large their potential is, we always neglect them completely.

For a long time, I'm following the rule mentioned above. Now, I'd like to give it a second thought. Here by "give it a second thought", I don't mean to discard the rule. On the contrary, I strongly suggest we continue to strive to get our sites accepted by those established sites, because if those established directories, such as the most famous one, dmoz.org, accepts your sites, or a high PR site which operates in the same market niche with you is willing to exchange links with you, the promotion return to you will be huge.

How about using social networking sites such as facebook and twitter, also do not disregard digg, stumbleupon, reddit, slashdot and myxx. you can interact with your targeted audience over these networks so you can maximize the exposure of your business.
