Newsletter sign-up for free on something that is in high demand. Optimization for good SERPS and some Adwords advertisements gets me about 15 sign-ups a day.

Then I just drive them to the site everyday to get there free news letter post.

well before Optimization of My site i always made my mind first that on which keywords i want to see my site on top of the search engines , After that i make sure that , is those target keywords are exit in my site and on tittle Pages ?. And then i make one or two Free blogs on wordpress and blogspot to relevant my site niches. After that i start optimization of my site With, Social media networking because i do believe that Social media networking will help my site to get index fast in Search engines ( And believe me i can Achieve first 5 or 10 keywords just because of SMN in first week ). And after that i start updating my blogs those i made for promotion of my main website And once they get index in google i just leave them as they are, and start Blog commenting , Forum Posting , And directory Submission . and after that when i see that my site is get establish in Search Engines i Start three way link exchanging And Article Submission . Thats it

PS: i know SEO And these steps can Take Some Time to make an impact on your sites SERP And Pr , but i do believe that these steps are best if some one want to run his/her site in long terms ... and these steps never failed me .

For me, Article writing. This may well be one of the hardest forms of traffic generation because of the time involved. But, I found it is the most effective for me to drive traffic!

One of the best ways to build traffic is PPCa ads.
Here is a tip!
Use ppc adwords with in your niche, by paying only 0.20 cents a click. Battle your ad variations as time begin to pass. Battle yur ads for 2.5 weeks or 1,000 clicks. Change the loser and then do it again.

I do social bookmarking, do -follow blog commenting, forum posting, article submission link submission, press release, joining social network are the things I do to drive traffic. I use tools that will help automate to will make some process faster like using onlywire when bookmarking..

Just reading some of these responses has helped me to improve in using different avenues to drive traffic. I also use free online classifieds, which is working very well for me.
