I have an issue with the statistics for my website. I added all of my website's pages to google analytics to have another place to see my stats. The problem is that my webhost's stats show a lot more visitors than google analytics. For example, google might show 5 visits and in the same day, my webhosts stats will show 12 visits and a lot more page views, as well.
Do you think google analytics is more or less accurate?
That's because your web host probably uses the standard web log statistics where every image load on your page counts as a hit. So one visit could result in 6 hits if you have 5 images loading. Those statistics provided by most web hosts should be taken with a grain of salt. Google is likely showing your true visitor stat and I would rely on them more.

Thank you! I was kind of hoping Google would be more accurate. Even though I like the thought of having more visitors, I'd rather know the truth and not be fooled into thinking I'm doing better than I really am.
