OK, please don't take this the wrong way. Consider this constructive criticism. But I think you have started the way a lot of people start blogs. A few articles with more ads than unique content.

First of all, what's up with the Chris Brown link? Remove that if you want people to take your blog seriously. He has nothing to do with bodybuilding (he doesn't even have a six pack does he? LOL) Most webmasters are not going to take you seriously if you request a link exchange with limited content and non-related articles and videos.

When I read your blog I have no idea what makes you a credible source on this topic so I just chalk it up to another re-phrased blog with generic content I can get by using Google. It doesn't give me a reason to stick around or come back.

Work on your writing style. You should write in small paragraphs separated by spaces. Your content on your homepage is all lumped together and may give readers a headache.

Did I count 7 articles? You've only just begun (as Karen Carpenter said). Keep building more RELATED content and try to shoot for articles that will entice people to read. The name of your blog is "body building supplements" and I didn't see one article about that. So your focus is all over the place. If you want people to link or partner with you, you have to be more professional with your overall presentation.

You also may want to think about getting your own domain at a later time because the blogspot address immediately tells everyone you aren't paying for your site and that may turn off potential link partners. I know I don't link to people with free blogs and sites.

I know you asked about getting traffic but if you want traffic you are going to have to work on correcting the above things first. Then get out there and start promoting your site on twitter, technorati and other blog related sites. You are going to have to develop a following and that starts with useful content.

Take a look at heavily trafficked blogs and notice what they all have in common.... problogger.net, copyblogger.com, Check out how useful and relevant the content is. These guys are excellent writers and they know how to write to appeal to their audience.

If you are trying to appeal to bodybuilders you are going to have to give them a reason to stick around. Where are your tutorials for bodybuilders? Do you have any pictures or instructions of how to build up muscle? Are you a bodybuilder yourself? Tell me about yourself? Give me a reason to trust your info and stick around. Do you have experience in this field or are you just putting up articles and ads?

You can't just build a blog with a few articles. You have to build a user experience with helpful info and credibility. Add content that other bodybuilder sites don't have so you can attract more traffic from people looking to bodybuild.

No harm meant in this review, just giving it to you straight and honest. Once you work on your content then you can work on promoting your site and getting more traffic. Good luck to you!

Wow ppcfanatic that was a mouthful (or pageful, I guess I should say) but I couldn't agree more. All of your content doesn't match your title and all the ads give your blog a very amateur look. I know it's tempting to add banners, AdSense, etc. but if you don't have the traffic, no one is going to click or buy anyway.

So you may as well start with providing some good info. You can't worry about traffic at this point because you are going to have to do some things to make people want to visit your site and partner with you.

I could be wrong but from the look of this blog it doesn't look like you are passionate about bodybuilding. If I'm wrong, my apologies but that's the impression you give off by looking at your content. I really only saw one article and that was on your homepage. May I ask, what's your inspiration behind this topic? Are you a bodybuilder? If so, great! Add some pictures of yourself or write articles on your own experiences.

You've got the right idea, but I think you need to develop this a little more and take some time to look at this project long-term. Blogs that make money and get traffic provide a ton of useful content on one subject. Are you prepared to write articles multiple times per week on bodybuilding? Just putting up a post with a link to another ad or site is not going to do you much good.

Your goal should be to become the KING of bodybuilding blogs by offering the most insightful, useful information one can find. Do you subscribe to other bodybuilding blogs? Look at some of the popular ones and get some ideas from them. Notice how they provide and organize their content.

You'll get there, just put in some more work.

I can see you've took some advise ASAP

few things though. Make sure your grammar and spelling are up to par. And as PPC Fanatic mentioned. break down your posts into small paragraphs.

Hint: What they teach you in school ain't the way Pretty much every author breaks those rules writing novels(and other best-sellers)

Try to strike a conversation with your audience. Make them feel special(that's how Lisa pulled me in here). Copy-Writing comes a long way. Be a maven in your field!:

Hope that helps

May I chime in. About a year ago Audrey Owens gave me some valuable advice. She advised me to run all my documents through Microsoft Word for spelling and grammar check, as well as readability. I think too many times we do not realize what is printed such as misspelled words or improper use of grammar is a MAJOR turn off. People visit site with misspelled words or bad grammar leave with a bad impression and chances are they will not return.

Again, do yourself a favor and take the advice of a professional writer given to me. It helped. One other piece of advice, there is a website which will help you to Improve Your Writing. I use it quite abit so that I don't frequently use the same words over and over again. Hope this helps.

Participate in the body building online community (with a good sig link). That is a good cheap way to get some traffic. Begin building back links to your website either by link trades or directories. I know some people are down on directories as many of them are worthless but it helps. Just do not pay for a listing. Do the free listings only.

Ok so far im gettng about 20-50 visitors per day, which is prety pathetic lol, im not geting any traffic from search engines because my site is not ranked high enough, i dont think it makes the top 1000? lol
My 20-50 visitors per day come from bodybuilding forums that i post in.

I have tried manual traffic exchanges, but those have gota be the stupidest things on the internet..
In 1 day i got 1000 visitors...
Those 1000 visitors looked at my site for 5 seconds than left....
Soo they dont count as traffic at all..
From my 2 week experience with manual or automatic traffic exchanges i have found that unless you have a site that is related to web traffic or money making online, traffic exchanges are not for you, my site wasnt even noticed...
So what iff got 1000 visitors in 1 day? 1000 visitors that dont read a single word of my website is not what i want lol
My short term goal is to be getiing 1000 targeted reading visitors to my site a week.
If there is anyone who can help me with this thankyou very much! thankyou to everyone that has helped soo far! Please review my blog and give structual critisizm, i need alot of help with SEO. thankyou everyone!!
Lots of traffic tips needed for my blog!!

dballer, if my math serves me correctly you have 9 posts and your blog is very new. 20-50 visits per day is to be expected for a blog at your stage.

As you've just learned, traffic is not always good traffic. There's the highly targeted traffic from people who are really interested in what you have to offer. And there's the low-quality traffic you often get from the traffic programs, etc. And I agree, unless you have a site related to Webmastering then these types of programs are usually useless.

Your content has definitely improved from when you first asked us to review your site. It's much more focused, but I still think you are trying to sell too much. I get a sales pitch feel when I browse through your blog. Banners, pills, books, and it just seems as if you're screaming "Buy something from me!!" and it distracts me from your content.

Also, work on your consistency. In some articles, you start with all caps and then you return to sentence case. If you find that people are leaving very quickly that could mean many things....

1) The traffic is not very targeted
2) They are getting turned off by too many ads
3) Not enough content (keep building, you'll get there)

Did you know the most successful blogs that make good money are at least 3 years old? So it seems as if you believe you should have much more traffic than you have. It's perfectly normal to see minimal visitors at this stage. Your main concern should be the quality of the visit. And if you are noticing people aren't staying long then you need to address the above 3 points.

Also who are you targeting? Men? Women? Beginner bodybuilders? Do you have a specific group you are trying to market to?

Also, where are you promoting your blog? (other than the traffic exchanges).
