Hi Martin,

If i'm understanding your question correctly, you will not have to create columns on your page.

I'm assuming you're using Google ads? If so, google will walk you through it step-by-step. First, google will prompt you to select which Adsense display you want to choose for you site. You can choose ads for other sites, a search box, or a referral (for example, an "ad" that refers someone to sign up for google checkout).

You want to select ads (i believe it's the first choice).

Select "continue" and you will then be prompted to select how you want the ads to be displayed on your page. You can have ads listed as a banner, vertically or horizontally. Or you can have a box or a button. Each time you select a display, google will show you a sample of it.

Select "continue" again, and google will provide you with a long HTML code in a box. Just click inside the box and the entire link will automatically be highlighted.

Then you have to go to your website (where you go to create the site, not through the internet) and paste/insert the HTML code into the site. The method of pasting/inserting may depend on whichever host you have.

If i were to do to this through my host (yahoo), the code will be inserted in the form of a text box, and I can resize and/or reposition the box, so i'm assuming this is the case with most hosts.

After you save the changes, access your site through the internet, and your ads should be displayed on your site.

I hope this helps.

You can start putting google ads on your site as soon as they accept you into the Adsense program, no matter how long it takes for your site to be added to their list.

Glad I could help!

It doesn't always take 1 month to get your site indexed by the search engines. You could put your website in your sig in this forum and get your site indexed in as little as 3-4 days.

See this tutorial by search engines expert Brad Callen: http://www.seoelite.com/HTML_SEOLesson3-wf.htm
for more information.

I think it would benefit the whole forum if you share that information with everyone publicly. These cheap tactics are really not necessary on this forum.

Martin now to address your question. As ncaditya said, just add your site in your signature (by doing so, you are within the rules of this forum). Google will see your link here and index it in their database within a week or two or even less.

Now here is the fun part. Google has a webmaster tool which lets you see what pages of your site Google has crawled, when they were crawled and how site is performing and much more. It's a really nice tool which every webmaster should use. Its free from Google. If you a Google account you can add your site to the webmaster tool easily. Here is the Google link.

Hi genuis wembaster,

Wasn't sure if that was your site in the post or not so I didn't edit but please be careful of self promotion on this forum. Just for the record I've never had much success with those submission services. I've always found that submitting manually has worked best. If you are optimized for Google, Yahoo and MSN then you will generally fair well in the other engines as well. Plus I read that 90-95% of all traffic comes from the big 3 engines and all the engines that feed off them (AOL, etc.) There are hundreds of other engines out there but most of them get very little traffic.

As I mentioned in other thread, feel free to promote your site but please do so in your signature file only. You can edit it by going to the "User CP" area in the top left of the forum.
