After installing Google Analytics on my site I quickly benchmarked it and saw that I had a very bad 79% bounce rate with 1.80 average pageviews and also a mere 30 odd seconds per visit.
So I carefully examined each page's keywords again and assigned some new keywords and keyphrases that I thought would will be relevant to my site and content in case people search for it. Additionally on some pages where I had my tutorials and articles all listed below one another I've added a short description to each title.
This has resulted in a much better 55.09% bounce rate and my average of 1.80 pageviews have gone up to 2.72 pages/visit and people are staying around longer now because of the tad-bit extra content (descriptions). Just over two minutes!
Besides that, I've been getting more hits from the search engines now too because of the carefully selected keywords

.
Hoping that this inspires people to focus on micro-improvements on their websites to give them that edge

. Just thought I'd share some bit of success and feel good about it at the same time
