A weird question
Hi,
So I have a question that might sound a little bit wierd. I have a site ToonTube. It is part of my site ToonLifeOnline. ToonTube is an animation community. It is 2 months old and has over a 100 members and over 200 animations uploaded by the members. I work a lot and don't have a whole lot of time to research and figure out exactly how to promote it and make money from it once it does get going. I put a few adsense ads on it but that's about it. My question is I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a service where like an agent promotes your site and does all the work to make it earn money and in return they get like a certain percentage of whatever the site makes. So lets say I end up earning $1000 dollars a month from it They would earn like 20% which is $200. They would get paid this as long as I used them and their service. I really want to keep my site going but I really don't have the time to promote it or learn how to make money from it. If anyone has heard of anything like this or would like to do this please let me know.
Thanks
Wes

Hey Wes,
I'm sure there are companies that do such a thing although I cannot point you toward one. I would be willing to give something like that a shot for you if you would agree to be a bit patient with it. I would be in a learning process mode with it so it may not take off immediately but if I am anything it is persistant.
If not, I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.

Sorry Charlie...
Wes,
Peter Drucker, widely considered the number one expert on business of this century (or more precisely the last one with a carry over into the current one), often spoke of the absolute essentials for anyone who wants to be successful in business. They are two: management and marketing.
You can farm out everything else successfully. Many people try to farm out these, too, but invariably with disastrous results. A good friend of mine, as a matter of fact, tried it. One day his business (not the building but the customers) disappeared along with the marketing guy!
One reason Lisa is so successful, and one reason I have listened to her advice in general, is that I noticed from the beginning how she devotes her personal time not to the the stuff I like to do and can because I am not dependent on this for a living but to marketing and writing content.
Sure you can try to farm it out, but any decent marketer would rather be getting his own customers than yours! If you really want to be a profitable internet business person accept the fact that only you can be responsible for your marketing, even if you get some help, and start studying. If it is more of a hobby OK, but probably then you don't need to have many visits anyway to be happy.
We are all pressed for time. Better to farm out something else and do your own management and marketing.
