Hey,

I have a holiday home site, www.tolroymanor.co.uk and am looking of ways to advertise. I have a small budget and need to get it booked up.

Many Thanks,

So you're trying to sell this house correct? Your promotion methods are going to be a bit different than most of us since you are targeting people from a specific area.

What town/area is this in? Why not build up a more robust site with (information wise) about the area this house is located in. That way you'll get found for searches about the town.

Since you have a very specific market, the fastest way to start driving traffic is PPC (pay per click marketing)

Can you tell us a little more about the kind of traffic you're looking for? I'm assuming people who live in that area or want to live in that area right?

Na. I am trying to rent this house out to holiday makers. Most of my audience will be from the UK as it is a UK destination and i hope to achieve it completly rented out.

OK then I would use the Adwords research tool and find out what keywords are related to the UK house renting market. If you want quick, targeted traffic bid on some cheap keywords through AdWords

Long-term, you'll need to build content related to the type of audience you want to attract. For example, add more general information to your site about the UK housing market.

Well estate agents would be a start, perhaps post in yahoos directory as its under a non-commericial license.

Advertise in your area. Perhaps take part in some social networking sites such as Myspace.com and Bebo.com and let people contact you direct and personal as selling a house I imagine is a rather personal thing.

Word-of-mouth let your freinds no about it and perhaps they could stay there. Also programs such as MS Publisher can create really professional looking leaflets so you stick up on various shop windows and advertise it.

Research some keywords, similar sites and find out what they are doing don't be afraid to build up on there ideas as putting a house or manor up to rent is a very local thing for example someone from the US Is'nt nessarily going to be interested when its god knows how many miles away.
