Excuse my ignorance but what's a gaming ladder? I'm assuming it has something to do with video games?

Where do gamers generally hang out? Do you have a favorite gaming forum you can promote via a sig file? Ever thought of searching for gaming questions in Yahoo Answers and replying? I get some traffic from people checking my profile. You can't place a link to your site in your answers but you will get some profile traffic. Also try posting comments on other gaming blogs. There are tons of ways to advertise for free if you know where your audience typically hangs out.

Lisa:

I game a lot, theres lots of different types of genres. Il list a few, mmporg which is basically WoW (World of Warcraft) or similar games it is the most popular game in the world. FPS (first person shooter) more tactical and realistic.

Xfire.com is where most gamers hang out chat with there freinds etc is hugely popular, Totalgamingnetwork.com is another one they do lost of games too but its less official.

Then there's the official sites such as IGN.com and there massive enterprise and then last but not least individual clan and community sites.

Oh and theres teamspeak and ventrilo which is really popular too where most gamers talk in person.

OriginalBoy:

Try www.teamwarfare.com and www.totalgamingleague.com there both similar to what you looking at, i suggest you download a cms (content management system) and then use these leagues plugins so you can place leaderboards hosted by them on your site, which looks really cool trust me.

Good luck!

Maybe you could also create Squidoo lenses about specific games that point back to your original site.

ive never actually heard of Squidoo it seems like another carbon copy of E-Zine articles but it still looks very nice it puts in a very different user friendly perspective when i did a search on hamsters it came up with various books, youtube videos and lots of related articles. Very useful indeed, Good find!

Very informative information! Also you can pay someone at a gaming store to promote you website via fliers! Or do it yourself!
