Default Need help with changing my site

I have had a "Free" recipe site for years and want to change it to a "Membership" site. It will be either a Yearly membership or a member can pay for a "Lifetime" membership.
I do have a Paypal account set up but don't know how to make a page to attach to my site for viewers can join with all the instructions and buttons.
I want to set it up so anyone can look but they can't copy and paste with out being a Premium member.
can any one tell me what I need to do?

Thanks so much and I am a "Newbee" so forgive me if I posted this in the wrong place.

From an old man who needs lot's of help and thanks so much.

Kind of question on that because you said your site is about recipes right? Well their are a million and one recipe sites so what incentives will you have for people to switch to membership?

You have to offer a incentive for them to switch to members, especially since their is a million free recipes sites out their.

You said you want to set it up so they can look but not copy and paste? What do you mean by that? Either way it goes people can find a way around that.

To set up something like this though you probably want to look at some kind of software I know Paypal won't allow you to create a member site but it will allow you to create subscription payments for them and so on.

Thank you so much, but I was not asking for an opinion about if my site would work or not because I already know it will. You see I not only have one of the very best sites on the internet (for over 15 years) but I also give my members personal (one on one) help with any question or help they need in cooking for groups or any other activity they might need help in. I just did a sit down party in Lahore Pakistan for 115 people and they hired 2 local Chef's and I did it all from right here in East Texas. I have many members who will pay to belong. Again thanks for the Advice though. I have also found that Paypal will work with me to get the job done.
Thanks again for your input.

Im sure there are ways to stop copy and pasting but wouldn't people just print instead? or print screen?

Why not offer part of recipes to non members and the full recipe to members?

The only concern I would have would be, from a customers point of view would it be worth paying for the ability to copy and paste?

Here is the thing. This can be done yes. However how you go about this will depend more on the type of site you have now. There will be a few changes you will have to make to the site in order for it to be blocked off from the public. You will need to create a Database for users along with a permission field so you can still let non members into your site after all you really need to let potential members get glimpses of the site to gain more subscriptions. One thing you may want to look at would be magento shopping cart. Don't let this fool you it has a section in there to make your site a subscription site or membership. this would just plug right in to your paypal settings and you would be on your way. I think if I was going to do something like this I would use Magento for it. It has a nice clean professional look and as long as you know how to code you can do anything you want with it. The shopping cart feature it has could just be used to allow people to buy a membership. Or if you wanted to sell items on top of the membership (ie.. spices or anything lie that) this cart will allow that as well.

If your content is where they can see it, they will steal it. If they dont just print screen then they will write it down on paper.

What you could do is make part of your site free and part of it premium. You could have enticing pictures on the homepage for both free and premium recipies. I think that if people could see a pic of the final product but not be able to get to the recipie you would have a higher subscription rate.
