Default diversifying your site

Ok, visualize with me here for a second...

if you could turn your site into a portfolio, what streams of income would you find coming from it?

--google adsense
--affiliate links
--hard or soft goods

what else is out there?

what might be the most balanced portfolio for a site?

these are broad questions, but I'm just trying to equip my mind with ideas.

Paid reviews is another way to make money. All you do is mention a product or company and get paid. Then also put up pages on HOW-TOs.

Default paid reviews

sorry if this is an elementary question, but how would you get started with paid reviews? do you seek the product or company yourself, or do you participate through a middle man site?

You sign up, then wait to be approved then the companys come to you! usually starts at around $5 - $10 per review. Some people get $1000+ per review.

Also, after you build traffic to your site, you may sell areas of your page for posting ads, either independently or through a service, such as http://textlinksads.com/

Ok I am up and running, now I have a few questions.

1. I have been approved for adsense, how many ads am I allowed to have
I think my confusion is one link may have four ads. Is that one?

2. I'm still confused about what constitutes a payment. I've seen were people have visited my website, and I just got it up and running, it said I had 70 clicks but in the $$$ it said $0.00. Can someone explain?

3. Channels, I undertand it is a tracking system, do I put in the URL's for each page?

I'm sure by the end of the day I'll have more questions.

The terms and conditions tells you but I think you are allowed to have up to 2 units (blocks on AdSense code) on a page (could be 3 now so correct me if I'm wrong)

Channels are good for separate websites. For example, my blog is a channel and my websites are another. So I have 6 channels. 4 for my site and 2 for my blogs.

Sometimes it takes a while for the payments to be updated. That happens often where you'll see clicks and no earnings. Just give it a few hours and it will update.

Have a look at the Manage Ads section of adsense, real handy and now would be the time to implament it.
