Hi,

Yes I would think its possible to monetize your site. If you get the traffic and regular readers and visitors then you could make money from it.

The first thing that came to mind was affiliate advertising like with Amazon. You could have ads for books on stress, self help books, etc. Adsense could also work if your topic is focused enough.

This is off the top of my head. I would suggest that you find other sites that are similar in your idea and see how and if they make money on their sites. See what seems to work for them and maybe what you could do better and what they are missing out on. Think in terms of being a visitor to your site and what you would want out of the site by visiting it. What would keep you coming back? Then what products would be relevant to it.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Default Making money wit YOUR website.

Yes Jewels is right...but I might add you will need to promote, advertise, and constantly find ways to make people visit your website. This is really the hard part. It does not matter if you have adsense ads, clickbank links, or your own affilaite type program. You will need to find ways to market your website or blog!

Default Keyword Focused Content Pages

Hello gpitts85

In order to make money on any website, you need traffic, meaning visitor, surfers, people coming to checkout what it is that you have to offer them. People are usually searching online for answers to problems or for some sort of information.

In order to get visitors you need good quality content web pages, information that surfers are searching for. Something that will solve a problem they may have, such as a free ebook or free report or a very informative article. Maybe the answer to a question they’re looking for, or maybe you can point them toward another site that has a good article or free report.

You want them to trust you and the information you offer, suggest, give away or even sell to them.

Good quality content web pages will bring the traffic to your site, the traffic that you need to make any kind of real money online. Your traffic will trust you because of the quality content you provide and they will come back, mention your site in forums and even link to your site. This will in turn create more traffic, which in the long run could mean more money.

Your content quality web pages should be keyword focused content pages, meaning you need to use keywords on your pages that people in your particular niche are searching for. For example, you say your site is about anxiety and stress at work and home and spiritual support.

Lets take a look at anxiety – first off that’s too short a keyword, you need to add another word or two to it to make a longer tail keyword because that’s what most people search for. I did a search at ‘Google Suggest’ http://www.google.com for ‘anxiety at work’ and came up with 26,500,000 searches.

That just may be a good keyword to write a web page on since there are so many searches, If you write a good quality keyword focused page, you’re sure to pick up some of that traffic.

In order to find some really good keywords, just began typing in words that relate to your site at http://www.google.com. You will see several keywords on the left side and a number followed by ‘results’ on the right, this will let you know how popular that search term is. You could also use:

After you have have some really good web content, you can also build traffic thought link building, link exchange and article marketing.

As your traffic builds, you can began to monetize your site by adding Google Adsense, Clickbank products, affiliate products or even drop ship products.

I know your question was about how to make money with your website, that’s the million dollar question that every new web developer and some who've been at it for years, wants to know.

However you can’t make money if you don’t get the traffic and you won’t get the traffic if you don’t have good quality content keyword focused pages.

I actually intended on writing this response on article marketing however I believe you need to begin with good quality content focused keyword pages in order to have a good quality website.

I know this was a long post but I hope it helped.

Default Excellent answer on making money online.

You hit the nail on the head JaMina.

You responce is almost identical to what I was going to write....but you beat me to the punch.

You could have added....develop article writing and copywriting skillls. The Internet is still mainly a text medium. Most folks will still read what you have to offer.

Thanks for such an excellent post on keywords. It's so important to understand how to use them in effective ways. I purchased a book about optimization that was related to the SiteBuilder program that I use. I made some major changes to the way I was writing content and creating links.

I was amazed when I first began to see the results of using keywords correctly.

Traffic increased and so did the revenue.
