Think a little, Gig! If you want to be a website builder why would you neglect it for a 9-5 (just for the money) that you worked double time for years to get out of? Lisa is successful because she likes what she is doing. If she wants to work more she would likely do more of what she likes most, helping people succeed (that's my interpretation of what she does--I haven't asked her).

Besides, if you look at Lisa's productivity you know she works very hard at what she is doing. Probably much more than 9-5 although not those specific hours--from the time of day she posts here and there I wonder if she ever sleeps! "Nothing is what you get for free" and no matter how good you are if you neglect your work too much it will deteriorate, even on the web.

James is right. While the money is good, I do this because I enjoy it and I enjoyed it even when I was making $30/month working 30 hours a week on my sites while working a full time job. So the long hours paid off. A lot of people get so caught up in the money but it's not the money so much as it is the freedom to do what I want when I want.

I HATE building sites for other people so I'd never do that. Why add more work when I already put in 60+ hours a week on my own sites? Especially when web design is not really my specialty. Marketing and writing is what I love. I have enough to do trust me.

Maybe I just make it look easy. LOL

Even though I put in 60+ hours per week, it doesn't feel like work because I love what I do. I even feel guilty calling it "work". That question about "what do you do everyday" is hard to answer because it varies. I may put in 12 hours one day and do absolutely nothing the next. I do travel a lot more now. For example I just came back from a 10 day trip to my hometown. It was nice to get away from the Dallas storms for a minute.

The money is nice, but nothing beats the flexibility.

I cannot wait till I get done with 9-to-5-ivers (more like 9-to-9-ers) so I can focus on my internet business! Very Soon!

eh....I personally am a boring guy. When I have lots of free time, I'm always bored to death. It's just that seeing that all your sites are finished, I was just wondering what you do in these 12 hours.

And also, when I say about getting another job, I would think it benefits both financially and psychologically. It gives you pressure, which drives you forward, plus extra spending money.
