Ebay?
How many here sell on Ebay? I did sell there in the past but stopped due to them increasing their rates. I kind of miss it, because I made around $100 per month extra just selling collectibles.

So, why not go back to it? If you had success before then I would have kept on doing it...and as for the increased rates...well I would have tried selling more to offset the cost...just a thought... All the best.

And if you're smart you'll be making sure to add a backlink somewhere in your listing. Can never have enough of those....

Good old FeeBay!
I haven't used eBay for a while but from what I remember, they don't (or didn't then, anyway) allow references to your website. I know people do it, but I think it's a breach of their TOS. Correct me if I'm wrong, though...

I have both sold and purchased items on Ebay since 2000. However, I haven't put any items up for auction on Ebay since 2006, as it really does take a lot of work. I have some DVD's and a few other items that I keep meaning to list on Ebay. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. As for a backlink, I'm almost 100% sure that you are allowed to include a link to your website or blog on your Ebay Store page. I've personally never had an Ebay Store, but a lot of sellers do. Anyways, Ebay is certainly not an easy way to make money, requiring a lot of time and work. I've found Ebay to be a great way to sell items that I no longer need and/or want and for purchasing things.

Socks on ebay
Don't laugh, but I used to sell socks on Ebay. I lived by a mill that made hiking socks with merino wool. I could buy 3 for $8 and turn around and sell them on ebay for $18. I did extremely well until other people copied my idea. Nov and Dec were my busiest months, so if it is something people would buy as a gift, I wouldn't wait. In my case, I moved away and it wasn't possible anymore.

Love Hate With Ebay
I sell on Ebay, during times when I'm busy Ebay has made me a lot of money for the amount of time I put into it, mostly selling used motorcycle parts. I think the fees have gotten so out of hand that I'm evetually leaving Ebay to build multiple websites, one of which I'll eventually sell those bike parts on.
Here's the real Ebay problem: to sell consistently you need a store which costs you a monthly fee. Other wise you constantly relisting items that didn't sell and eventually you'll lose money on those that don't sell. So you need to make at least enough to pay for your store unless you have products that always sell with a regular listing. There are things that will always sell.
To make any money you have to have product with a pretty good markup since Ebay/Paypal take about 20% of your money right off the bat and if your a licensed reseller in your state as I am you need to pay taxes on those profits. To me it's become too much work. But I have made the most money from it.
