Default An Income-Earning Page Every Site Should Have...

My Tools page is my highest earning page on my blog...

As you can imagine, the Genesis theme gets a lot of sales from this page because it is a product that is closely related to my site. That's the idea... highlight good products that are closely related to your niche.

If you don't have a page like this, it's a really great way to bring in some extra cash for your site. Think about it. Your audience naturally wants to know what tools/products you use in your niche so this is an ideal way to reveal this info. Plus people are always asking me "What camera or software do you use for your videos?" so I have a page to point them to now.

Last year I added images to make the page more eye-catching because it was quite text-heavy.

I haven't updated this page in some time so my goal this month is to add some more beef to it.

Do you have a page like this on your site? I sure hope so! It's a great way to generate extra affiliate income.

    Thanks for sharing Lisa.

I'll be sure to try it when my traffic starts rolling in.

    Awesome tip!

Another great way to earn out of recommending tools that you use is to drive traffic to a resources page through your newsletter or an email series. At the end of the newsletter put a link saying "Useful Resources That I Use" which leads to a page with recommendations and (affiliate) links to various tools.

Works best if you have a mix of free and paid tools since some may be looking for free tools and may not like being disappointed.

I will someday for the SCG blog, but this type of page will not work for some of my sites, like the gaming one. I do have to admit that I'm going to buy the Foobar off your tools page later, LOL.
