Why Spamming Is Bad
The reason why spamming is bad is because it takes away from the value of any website. I have a few websites and I must say that spamming totally sucks! Plus, it can bring down the value of a website. When a website is filled with spam, search engines take the site less serious and won't send it good traffic. This can make the stats go all the way down.
Forums are popular for spamming because of the social feature that allows all or most users to post topics. Spammers use this as an opportunity to post their links. It does help because that's how the algorithms are set up in search engines. A site is only worth the links that go to the website. But once robots detect the material is spammy, this can really hurt a website.
The actual fact is that if you create real good content, people will share it along social networks and other blogs will link back to you. These are the best types of links to get.
The problem with building a website with spam is that usually the posts get deleted and you lose all the juice you acquire anyway. You get a bump in traffic and then it just stops. Because all the backlinks you acquired are now gone and you have to start all over again. In truth, it's harder to spam than to create genuine links that will last on the web forever. Think about that and all the hard work that the fast and easy spamming gets you.
The good thing about being part of a forum is that if you add good content to the website that is unique, the website should have no problem letting you get links on their site. It's essentially a trade of services. Just make sure you add real good content and they will usually reward you. though you shouldn't take advantage of it and run away with this idea.
In the past I have actually gotten pretty good traffic to websites without concentrating so much on backlinks. truth is, if you write superior content, Google and other search engines will acknowledge that. That's where most of your efforts should lie. If you are like me, and just like to blog or write, then you will have no problem delivering quality content to your website.
Think about it like this: Most people have it backwards and this why spam is silly. You can spend days building up backlinks and hardly any time building up your website. So you get tons of juice to crappy content. You may even get a rise in traffic but your business will not grow because you didn't write good content that readers are interested in. So why should people keep coming back.
The consequences of this behavior will be a ton of short term traffic with no ctr(click through rate) and a bunch of wasted time. Don't find this out the hard way. Spamming is beneficial for no one. It makes you a slave to a blogging system that should be fun and enjoyable.
A simple thought. Spamming brings no value to anyone when it comes to internet marketing.
However, Spamming has been accompanied with SEO over the years. You just have to go to seo forums and you will see what I'm saying.
SO yes, spamming is not beneficial to anyone.
