Default online Store

Hi everyone, just checking to know if anyone has tried the link below

http://getestore.com/

I wish to know if this is something I can try.

Also any idea of any other store like this?

I appreciate all responses

Be careful of things like this. Remember, the key with making money online is not just the building of a store, but the marketing and being able to draw in interested visitors in order to make a profit.

Yes, this is great that they will provide you with a store but from there, how are you going to market it?

So it takes you back to starting from scratch. Whether or not you are starting with a website, a blog, an online store like this, you name it. Marketing is still going to play a huge factor.

Sometimes I get annoyed by services like this because they make it seem so easy because people are so intimidated by the building and setting up things. So they provide you with false comfort of setting up your store. When in reality that's the easy part (compared to marketing and making money)

You could make your own internet store for free by joining Amazon.com's affiliate program, but then where would you promote it? How would you go about getting enough targeted visitors? Notice out of all the features listed, there are no mentions of helping you market and learn how to draw traffic to your store. Why? Because they throw these ready-made sites at you and send you on your way.

Now, I didn't read through the entire site, but from a first glance it sounds like another one of those "insta-stores" that sounds great on the surface but ignores the hard work of marketing and getting traffic. Not to mention those horrible testimonials on the left side that I hate because they look fake. If I don't see a website address with the testimonial, I immediately assume it's not real.

I hear ya Lisa! I started to set up a store on Zlio. I had heard how easy it is, etc. Well, my store is still sitting there all alone, and nearly empty! There was a lot more to do than I had thought.

Lisa's points are well taken. Marketing is the key and is something that needs to be thought of as soon a concept is realized and put on paper. Also, a word of cation, as I was looking over getastore.com I noticed at the bottom of the page that there copyright info still read "Copyright ©2002-2005". This is a warning sign to me, telling me that the site has not been updated or worked on since 2005. And that the owners may not be taking care of business. This may NOT be the case but it sure looks that way. So do as Lisa mentions, you'll be better off in the long run. Cheers.

I had this same problem with a free host, I was like, this looks hard making a website, then googled free website or something and freewebs came out, made an account, chose a template and added some words to my website and I only got about 1 unique visitor a week.. So I would say the hardest part is getting people to the website and as above, marketing if you are selling stuff.
