Default Multiple income streams

I am beginning to understand the term multiple income streams by experience. This is really very cool. When I started making money online I was very focused on Adsense revenue. I have now expanded into 4 different ways to make money online and I am beginning to see a few dollars from each stream. It has taken a lot of effort to create the streams and drive traffic (no paid advertising) to them but the rewards are begining to add up.

Thanks for starting such an inspirational thread. With webmaster forums like this you often hear of the problems people are having (which is fine and understandable) but it's nice to read about success once and a while... especially the monetary kind.

I agree. It's all about diversifying your income stream. Your next stop (if you haven't done this yet) is to look for residual income. These are often harder to find because there aren't as many of them around. Nothing like getting paid over and over again from one customer.

Keep up the great work!

Ive done somewhat of the same thing.

When im not adding to my site, i participate in alot of online money making sites, i do some surveys, click ads.. search the web, Usually brings in an extra $100 a month. And that usually goes straight back to my site either for hosting or advertising.

Eventually i hope to expand to another site.

I did sign up for an affiliate program the other day that has a residual income structure. I will take your advice and expand my options even further once I get this one in place.

I was able to find an affilaite banner that pays anywhere from $3.77 to $5.75 per lead. Woohoo, I am up to about $17 this month.

I will keep up the work, and work it is!!! Lisa, I read somewhere about how you would spend weekends inside working on your sites. Well I am constantly trying to increase traffic and sales.

I look foward to having so many profitable streams that I will be able to quit my day job too!

Yup, its definitely the way to go - and of course, the more different methods you try, the greater the chance that you stumble upon something that works well for your own unique site.

For example, in my own site - adsense isn't very lucrative, roughly 20% of what I make from one particular affiliate program. But for others, it will be the opposite - and the only way to know for sure, is to keep on trying new things until you find the perfect balance for you.

Wow, I checked out your site, very nice. How long have you been building it. If I had to take a wild guess I'd say the calander is the top seller.

I just started promoting some affiliate items and I made more in one week than I made in the first 5 months of trying to get Adsense clicks. I am going to focus on two things for a while, traffic and traffic.

Hi Jordy,

I started the site in Feb 2005. And the guess was a little wild, the calender isn't much of a seller at all, but it was a lot of fun to put together (it was a competition with all the people in it being either members of my forum or partners of the same. Except for our Halloween special in October... Lol!).

For me, the main monetization model is actually my sites store, followed by some affiliate promotions (I am VERY careful about who I partner with, the quality of the merchant and the value they offer to my community come first - actually, that is the golden rule of my entire site!).

The thing is, the more monetization models that you can find that fit your site concept like a glove and actually benefits your visitors - the stronger your site will be for it.
