Default Get Paid By Writing Ads????

Does anyone know anything about getting paid by companies to write online ads or key words / descriptions? I have seen a few sites in the past (Before babbling) and just remembered that they were out there. Scams or what?

Hi Alpha,

Sounds a bit scammish to me for several reasons, but I don't judge a book by it's cover, so some may be legitimate.

I would generally stay away from things like that, because even though they make it sound like they will give you a job, they would not really "hire" you to write ads.

You would probably pay a membership fee, and they would provide information and support, and they will show you how to write ads (with your affiliate links)... so it's no different than doing an affiliate CPC business on your own.

I could be wrong... plus I don't like to generalize, so I would pay close attention to the details and terms, but of course you already knew that

Agreed. I've noticed a lot of these companies use titles such as "Get paid to do XYZ" and as Sherif said, they don't necessarily pay you, they teach you how to write your own ads and then you get paid when people buy something from your site.

So in essence you have to learn how to build a website with traffic, etc. And if that's the case you might as well build your own site from scratch and make money from affiliate programs like you're already doing with your blog.

When I first got started in 1998, I joined a company that advertised you "Earn $14.95 for every email." It wasn't that I got paid for sending email but I got paid for every person I signed up for the MLM program, but I had to learn how to generate traffic, market, etc.

Words can be so tricky with advertising. As Sherif said, proceed with caution. Also, here's my thinking. If someone really did pay you for writing descriptions and ads wouldn't we hear more about these program and wouldn't you know people who are making money from that? Just think... they would catch on like crazy.

Yeah, I think you guys are right. When I remembered it today, I was wondering why I hadn't heard anymore about it. I just like to check stuff out. I am not one who fully believes that anything that sounds too good to be true, is. After all AdSense sounds too good to be true, but we all know how well that can work if you work at it. I think it's the best gig in town. Just thought I would ask. Thanks.

And there's no harm in asking. That's what this forum is for.
