Coupon affiliate programs are just like any other program. If you have the right kind of site and audience then yes, you can make good money from these. I haven't had any experience with them though.

Hi redstone,
Will you have a specific market you would be interested in, i.e. coupons for laptops, GPS devices, expensive pens, etc? or are you thinking about a general coupon site?
There are quite a few very successful general coupon sites, e.g. bradsdeals.com, but the competition for this kind of site is probably fierce.
If I were you, I would definitely focus/think about a specific market or niche.
To answer your question, more specifically, the first search result in Google (associateprograms.com) and 3rd or 4th (GoldenCAN) are definitely trust-worthy. I didn't check the others, but it looked like there was a blog entry in the top 5 results.
Also keep in mind that you don't want people to print these coupons and go to a physical store, because that way you won't make any commissions... you would want them to use your online coupon with your affiliate link embedded, that way you make a commission.
Anyway, I hope this helps a little.

thank's for the replys.
I thought the customer would click on a link from my site for say some orange juice brand that all stores sell and that link would take them to there website with coupons.
but just the fact that they came from my site I would get paid for the click.
or better yet I have coupons on my site with a code on them, when they get printed up and used in anystore the code shows that coupon came from my site.
so I get 3 cents or a nickel don't matter, is there one that works like that.
also I was looking at comcast and thought they gave commission to you for everyone that joins them from your site. think the comission was 20 dollars.
what if I had people join them and after two months gave them a 10 dollar refund would not matter to me I would still make half and maybe drive more customers to my site.
just trying to brainstorm some ideas.
over the past few weeks I checked out tons of programs that pay per click, pay per sales lead, pay per impression.
I don't even have a site yet, Now I am thinking of building a site that would have things that I like, after reading a lot of post here and mistakes made already by others.
trying to think outside the box thats all.
what if I went to to my local walmart and told them I can push some of there products with my LLc company on my website with printout coupons with some code showing they came from my site.
even if I made 3 cents on each item I would still have a profit with volume
I would name my site something like cheap as dirt or coupons are us.
then push there stuff, have a right up for each product a page and the coupon on the page ready to be printed.
anything like never replace a light bulb again buy are new mega bulbs they are guaranteed to last eight years by the supplier.
or your on a diet looking to drop pounds fast, try are new slim fast 4, drink 12 ounces for breakfast guaranteed to drop 5 pounds in 15 days.

It's great that you are researching different ways to monetize your potential site but have you thought about what your site will be about yet? Because whatever topic you choose, there will almost always be ways to monetize your traffic to make money. Whether it be coupons, regular affiliate programs, Adsense, or a combination of all the above... there's enough to go around no matter what niche you choose.
The reason I ask is I was having a convo with a friend about starting her site and she kept asking me about all these different programs and how they make money. While that's fine to question, you really need to focus on choosing a niche you love. I know I say that a lot on here and probably sound like a broken record to the readers here but I can't underestimate how important that is. Because when you love what you do, the money will come. There will always be tons of successful monetization options for you to choose from.
Don't chase the money. Chase your passion and the money will follow. 80% of my top income generators were discovered a year or two after my site was up and running. My point is that I spent the early years developing my content plan and the affiliate programs just fell into place.

yes I have so many interest, I thought of a site on treasure hunting just a site with all the different parts of it.
diving for ship wreck's treasure metal detecting coin roll hunting beach hunting, garage sale hunting for old stuff collectables.
the site can be huge, I know there are a ton of them out there but all people have hobbys.
so I think it would draw a large amount of people.
also I was thinking of having a few doimans and have them all link to each other but each one with something different.
maybe one with stock market.
there are so many hobbys that people are interested in, just a few mountain bike riding, motorcycles, boats, sailing, fishing, vacations?, gambling, other sports.
I know a message board is also good to have cause it is a site that just updates itself once the traffic comes to it.
also I thought of some site to do classified ads but now I am starting to shy away from that
trying to narrow it down I guess I am in slow motion here I should have it together in maybe another week or two.
also I thought of a trouble shooting site, I belong to a bunch of sites on the internet one of them is called hvactalk, it seems to generate a lot of traffic, there are tons of homeowner's with questions on there heat and air.
even the techs get stuck every now and then with a problem, intermitent problem can drive any hvac tack nuts, sometimes you will have low voltage short and they are hard to trace sometimes.
I had one the lawn guy cut the outside wires going to the condensor and burnt out a stepdown transformer to the unit in the attic plus wiring in the crawl was stretched and there was no break when I ohmed out the wiring it showed it was good but it was not.
spent six hrs on that thing drove me crazy but I got it.
in the crawl then in the attic changing a 25 year old transformer had to re drill the bracket to and in july it was like 120 degrees up there.
think I lost 5 pounds that day.
once I do I will post it here.
