How to be successful online?

This may sound very similar to all you but this is new to me. I want to know that how can one earn money from Google and other sites. I have read a lot but I don’t know whether all that stuff really works or they just say it. The use of net to earn money has become widespread. I want to know if you people have stumbled on any good ways to make it going great’s guns online.
Hope that you would suggest me something…… which is useful.

Hello Raikim. This is a question that so many people ask. I can almost guarantee that Lisa, (the founder of this forum) will answer it for you, but until she does, I will do it.

The main way that people are making good money out there is called Google Adsense. Adsense is an advertising program. It's not for you to advertise your products or services, but for other people who want to advertise their products or services.

When you sign up with Adsense, you are given permission by Google to place Ads wherever you want on websites (of course, there are rules and regulations that you MUST follow).

Essentially, by placing these ads on your sites, Google is renting this webspace from you on your website. They do not pay you a monthly fee, but they DO pay you every time someone clicks on the ads on your site. It's not much money. Maybe 10 cents here, 30 cents there, but when it all adds up, it's WELL worth the wait!

The catch is...you have to create a website yourself. You have to manage the content. You have to write more stuff at least weekly so that your site gets indexed by the major search engines like Google and Yahoo!, which in turn will drive more traffic to your site - increasing the chances of people clicking on your ads.

I know this seems very strange or maybe almost too good to be true, but that is the truth! Think about it next time you search the internet. I bet it will be hard to find a site without ANY advertisements on it. This is because everyone is getting paid for the advertisements!

Hi Raikim,

Welcome to the forums. It most definitely is possible to make a lot of money out here. I was able to quit my full time job back in 2006 and I do this full-time.

As jaressloo said, the first step is creating a site yourself. I usually suggest you pick something that interests you, something you wouldn't mind writing about often. One of the keys to a successful site is one that offers useful, unique information targeting to a specific group.

Say you love golf. You could build a site on how to improve your golf game where you offer tips to other golfers on golf swing, club types, and all different topics. You read up on search engine optimization and learn how to get your site ranked high in the major engines. Promote your site in free sites like digg.com, stumbleupon.com, commenting on other golfer's blogs, etc.

After a while, your site will begin getting traffic. As jaressloo said, you can join Google AdSense and other affiliate programs to monetize that traffic.

It takes time but definitely doable if you are committed to it.

All people ask the same question and get many replies to their queries, don’t know whether there are really benefited. There are lots of ways to make it going online but if my opinion is to be considered I think that you should make a good research before you indulge in anything. I had come across a good site which provided me tools to be successful online. It gave me ideas to make money [self promotional link removed] many ways. If you are serious in making money online then you should have a go at it. It does not charge you to visit but may be you can get charged with success and be successful online.

The million dollar question?

Here are some insights on how I made my main website successful.

1. Develop and build your own website or blog. It is alot cheapr than paying someone or buying tons of programs to help you. I get emails all the time asking me how I made our website successful. This is what I tell them. Stop trying to get rich online. It ain't gonna happen...no matter what the internet gurus tell you.

3. It will be soooo much easier if you develop a website and or blog about something that you are passionate about. It could be sports, gardening, writing, exercising, skateboarding, video games, rebuilding cars, cooking etc...

4. Stay away from those who say you will make thousands or millions in 2-3 months. IT WON'T HAPPEN.

5. Read everything that is positive and do not listen to those who say you can't do it. Negativity is the complete opposite of Success.

6. Develop confidence in yourself. You can do this by reading number 5.

7. There are tons of website that can help you achieve success you just need to filter out all the b.s. and hype that is out there. This forum has some great free information on how and what you need to become successful
