Twitter/Facebook?

I've registered my site with both Twitter and Facebook but I'm not sure how to maximize the promotion techniques. Can anyone give me some advice?

yes, create the group related to your business at face book and post the discussion and articles on daily basis and make friends.
At twitter make friends valuable friends, post news, articles in twitter at daily basis and send direct messages to your followers about your business.

Twitter and facebook both have different interface. In twitter you can directly place your link along with quote. I guess it is better than facebook.

I have gotten the hang of Twitter but I am just not feeling the whole face book thing. I understand using it for personal but business wise for me since I have no brand awareness and no one following me or "becoming a fan" it just seems pointless. But maybe I am just being bias. But Twitter for me is working wonders.

If you are using Twitter, try using HootSuite. You can create Ow.ly short links that provide tracking statistics. That way you will know what type of links are getting the most hits and which ones are duds. You can also create groups.

There are 2 tools that I think are great to help build your following, Buzzom and MrTweet.

Thanks for all the help! I've been able to get Twitter working quite well for me. Over 250 followers in a short time. You were right Buzzom helps alot.

As I mentioned in a thread Lisa started about dismissing Twitter;

"If you have things to share that you think are interesting and that others will too then those are the things to post. The thing about it is that that it is an opportunity to be sincere in sharing things of value that allows you to be seen as an expert is your area.
So, don't answer "What are you doing?" Answer "What do you think others will find valuable?"! "
