How to prevent forum spam

Now really, there is no way to prevent forums from being spammed by bots and spammers etc..

But here are a couple of ways to do it.

Use a Plug-in (Vbseo has one) to remove users who have not been active for X amount of days

Set up your forums so you need email activation before you can start posting (Help assures the person is real)

Delete all spammers accounts / suspicious accounts (Forums who do not remove there spammers or bots tend to be more targeted by bots)
