Nice site mate.

Creating a forum from scrach would be very hard, also security may be an issue. It's easier to save yourself some time and use existing software.

If you have the money you may decide to buy vBulliton, many say it's the best forum software.

You also have 2 really popular options, they are phpBB and SMF (Simple Machines Forum) both have a massive community and are customisable not to mention free. I have added the defult install to my domain so others can see what the software looks like out the box.

My personal favorite is phpBB. You could install a forum on a subdomain or new directory and link to it from your site or you may be able to embed the forum into your websites design.

Hope I helped.

Most people are not prepared to open their own forum. They think that its going to open, and the next day 10,000 people are going to join - that is not the way it works.

Running a forum takes a lot of work, and I mean a lot of work. On average - its going to take at least 1 year of promotion and building for traffic to start to increase.

the pros of a forum is you can freely advertise or participate on topics that you are interested too. the only cons is that every forums there has to be spammer or just a link dropper.
