Default Facebook To lauch Facebook Lite

facebook which is emerging as the world largest social networking site, will launch a new site named "Facebook Lite". Well, not much has been discussed about the features of this website but rumor is rife that it will much more easier and more customizable. What do you think about it.

It is already up in India. Not sure when it will become available in other countries. This site is supposed to be big competition for twitter. It will look just like facebook, but the wall posts will be set up more like "tweets". I don't think there will be much room for adding pics, tagging people in pics, doing the fun quizzes, etc. Your wall would be just a long list of wall posts to and from your friends.

I knew it! The moment I saw the topic title "Facebook To launch Facebook lite" I said to myself "Ow here comes a Twitter clone" and then I read your post West. Hehe, funny how even the "mature" companies tend to copy each other. Some people say competition is good for the users, makes the companies work hard to one-up each other providing a better service.

We'll see about that! Does anyone have any links?

Keep in mind one of the major downfalls of Facebook is the hatred of Google. I don't see this changing anytime soon even with lite. And I do not see them letting google crawl lite either.

What do you mean when you say Google hates Facebook? First time I hear that.

Not that google hates facebook that facebook hates google. Unless you have a page on facebook that is a group google is not allowed to crawl your page. And there have been rumors on sites like wired news, sitepro cnet and others that this will soon disappear as well with the partnership announced with microsoft.
