Need forum advise

Hello Members,

I am wondering if anybody can refer me to a forum template that is super easy to use?

I have never built a site before, and just don't have the money to pay somebody to do it for me. I downloaded the demo for VBulletin, and it was just way too complicated for a person who is not code savvy. I am looking for something that will walk you through the whole process step by step. I played around with the Dreamweaver trial, and found lots of great videos on the web that walked me through the basics, but I am not interested in building something from scratch.

I use OSX, and have only basic applications. Is there anything out there that would work for a novice like me, or am I SOL? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Well I would download PHBB3 see if that is easier for you to manipulate. There are a number of prebuilt templates you can download for it. So it is just a matter of setting up the parents and the forums.

For forums, Phpbb is the cheapest and easiest to use and for blog it is wordpress. If you are new to Phpbb, i can help you out with its installation and basic stuff.

since you're not into VBulletin, yes try on Phpbb.. it's also good, lots of people are also using this software and in fact it's very user friendly..

I see that doritos has given you some excellent tips...try out some of the programs he has suggested and make your own evaluations of them...You will be the final judge, and the visitors to your site will push you to the correct decision...in the long run...I wish you well...William Wilson
