What? You want to pay people to post on your forum, or charge them to post? (I wouldn't do it, but that's just me) I went to your site and I didn't see any topics. Is a sign in required to see the topics? If there aren't any topics, you might want to create a bunch and make them visible to visitors, allow them to view, but only post once they register. That way people can get a feel for what the forum is all about.

Are you on facebook or twitter? Maybe you could get more people through those sources.

No question forums are damn hard to get off the ground. Especially if you are a one man army. The most successful forums are usually launched by a group of people (think game guild, etc). If you don't have about 10 people committed to priming the pump by posting everyday it will be a long haul to get things going.

Well I was thinking of paying people to post at my forum. Example: 4 post = $1.00USD and I pay via paypal once your posts reach a certain amount and your posts must not be like spammed posts. Hmmm guess its best I make my own posts and pay for adverts.

    Thanks, Dee.

Sorry, I didn't scroll down. Hmm...I wonder. I wonder if you moved more of your topics toward the top for people to see, and then maybe they'd get engrossed in your topics and feel a need to post. (just a thought...ignore if it's useless to you)

So true...the problem is getting the backing in the first place. I have one that generates at least 3 to 4 new users a day. But the content is not being generated like I was hoping.

Just to let you know, you spelled "beginners" wrong on your forum category.

I don't think it's a good idea to actually pay for the posting. Most of those people who offer such services have no interest to stay long and will eventually leave after getting the money. Most of the time, what you will get are some one liner thank you post which doesn't serve anything to benefit the forum.
My suggestion is that since it is new, try to write some interesting sticky thread to post to post around. Offer free ebooks and tips not found elsewhere to give a reason for people to join. Once things start to kickoff, organize contest to attract more people to come. Hope that helps.

i don't like the ideaof paying someone post something, but if they credible enough and what they are posting is informative or useful why not give it a shot

Pay per post may be good for starting your forum. You should keep in mind that you get a lot of low quality posts and also some spam. So you should have good moderators if you decide to go this way.

I would not recommend paying for posts. Most of the time you will get useless posts because the people you pay are not interested in the theme/topic of your forum.

Starting a forum is very hard work, especially if you go alone. Some people may frown upon this but creating fake accounts on your forum to start threads and participating in them is a good way to get things rolling as it looks like your board is active. It worked for me.

Also you have a nice design but I would recommend cutting back on the amount of forums you have. Starting up you need to make your forum look active to attract people to join and if you have a dozen of empty forums it makes your forum look inactive.

Condense forums that are related into one big forum this will definitely make your forum look more active and ultimately attract more members. Once your forum starts to get active then you can start to give certain subjects their own forum.

I hope you understand my point.

Yes i know about the fake posting and stuff. I guess I should try that instead of doing a pay per post

I would give it a shot. Something that would move the conversation along, and get the ball rolling. Also, I know it's like inviting spammers, but you might want to try and get it to be dofollow. That should get people into your forum. And get a post count before they could post links.

Wait, I just described Website Babble right?
