Hi,
I have a web design related static homepage and I was thinking of starting reseller web hosting using the subdomain of that website. For example, hosting.sitename.com. Is there any technical problem with it? Also, I was thinking of hostgator to start my reseller business, as I am already a customer of their shared web hosting. Are there any better alternative? What about resell.biz?
Thanks.

I didn't know that was possible but looking around I saw that some people prefer to ask their providers about keep their info private in order to avoid their name and info in the whois search engines. This is important? I shoud look for this when I get a domain or this doesnt matter?

Also, what do you think about godaddy for hosting and domains? Or I should have domain and host in different companies? If godaddy isn't a good option, what other do you recommend? bluehost?dreamhost? Which hosting providers accept paypal?

Thanks!!

I've just built my site offline (in wamp), the site is a low budget travel guide/blog built in wordpress, so far have around 15 static pages up on it. I also plan to register the domain name, and I also plan to creative several, maybe someday several hundred, more websites/domains in the future.

So 2 questions, first of all, I'm looking mostly at gator, but is this really the best option for all my needs?

Also, for the domain name, which is better. .com .org .net and so on? The name I will choose is available for all of them.

Too often BlueHost does not respond and I cannot work on my site. The outage is usually short lived. I am not sure of the exact definition of too often. BTW my site is low volume.

Thoughts
