Good morning everyone. I'm getting interested in putting some Advertisements on my forums and blog.

Can I get some good feed back from you folks on what is good and what is not so good.

I have setup a couple of Affiliate Programs. I don't want a bunch of Ads all over the place like most forums have. Just one in the header and one in the footer.

I have two Seniors discussion forums, one Political forum, and one Blog. We have a nice setup (at least we think so) we also have a extensive computer help section in each of the forums.

We gladly accept advice or suggestions or ideas, or any feed back you have..

Thanks Ron...

I've referred some of my clients to my website and they have purchased some of the affiliate products that I promote through CJ. They have recieved the merchandise and still nothing has shown up on my CJ acct. I've tried to contact CJ via email on contact page and I get nothing but errors when submitting my question. Any advice on what I should do would be helpful. I'm wondering how many other sales I'm missing. ????

Hello everyone,

I have a feeling that I might have too many ads on my index page of my Internet Security website. I have three blocks of Google Adsense, plus three banners for various affiliates. Do you think that this is too much. Should I perhaps replace one or two of of Google Adsense ad blocks with the affiliate advertising. I'm making hardly anything on Google Adsense anyways. Any advice/suggestions/feedback would greatly be appreciated.

First Affiliat Sale

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my first affiliate sale yesterday. I am very happy about this. I just have to figure out how to bring people to this page with using Google Adwords, as I spent far more on Google Adwords than I actually made. My average cost per click was over $1.30, if I remember right. Makes me feel good though that there is potential for monetization in my website anyways.

:scared: *Halloween Scary FTC & Affiliates* :scared:

When I heard about this tonight I thought it was another ghost story. But it sounds true http://ftc.gov/os/2009/10/091005endorsementguidesfnnotice.pdf

FTC is cracking down on scammers and is now going to require full disclosures from promoters, blogs and websites who have reviews for products they are promoting.

I'm not an attorney, but I know Google has them and wonder how this is going to affect adsense as well.

It all begins on December 1, 2009.

Companies without Affiliate Programs

I have written a list of ideas for a website and then have gone through and added a list for each topic on my list for content I could add, and then also looked at who I could affiliate market for..

The top 2 website ideas I narrowed down to, the companies I want to affiliate for have no affiliate program, would it be a good idea to e-mail the company and ask if they have an affiliate program or if they would make one or should I just keep looking for other companies and not bother them?

Thanks!

Just maybe a little something for those people who are just getting started.

Now before I get bashed by someone here, I would just like to state that there are multiple ways to make money online. Some may possibly work better than others for some people. Just because I make money this way doesn't mean you will. OK?

Now. Are you familiar with an HTTP redirect through your domain registrar?.?. Well, you should learn how to do this as another tool in your pouch to be able to market effectively. Basically, you buy a domain, redirect it to your affiliate link via HTTP redirect, that way you don't have to spend the time to build a website. HOWEVER, in order to drive traffic to your domain, without using spam tactics... (naughty you), you will have to develop a marketing strategy that works for you. Whether this be paid advertising or real life streetside marketing, this is up to you. But either way, I know this method works. It still registers your affilate link and tracks it as long as you use an Http redirect. For those of you who like to streetside market, this could really work for you for 2 reasons.

For one, you don't have to build your own website. You just buy a domain for like 8 bucks a year, then you redirect it to the website you are an affiliate of.

For the next, it makes it look really good when your customer goes directly to the company site without having to pit stop on your site on the way there. Conversion rates can be much higher. $$

But like I said, you will have to devise a marketing strategy to get customers to go to your website. :) But i'm sure you can figure out an outstanding strategy (no spamming boys and girls). I have faith in you.

So there you have it. A free new method that is legit. ;) Add it to your toolbox. Have a wonderful day!!!
