I have a domain name im not using. So my question is there anything I can do with this domain name to make money without making a website?

If you play on selling it or taking offers you could always put it on sedo.com. Then you will have a "This domain is for sale" link. Lastly Google AdSense has a option to display adverts on domains not in use.

Apart from that im not sure. The chances of making much if any money from a domain not in use is low but still better than having a blank or hosting page.

I think you should try the parked domain thing from adsense.

I didn't even know Adsense has that. I have about 20 domain names I bought over the years that are bleeding me that I never did anything with except one. I made a one page web site and it averages a click a week. But if adsense can do it, even better.

One more reason I like this forum.

Hi everyone, I have 7 domains. I was using one of them exclusively since 1997 when I was selling real estate but since I started my own company, I had to purchase a new domain. Now I have a domain that is only a year old but 6 other domains I've had since 1997. I know these have some senority and somehow I want to incorporate 1 or 2 of these into my new domain. Right now all of these have a 301 redirect to my new website.

If you want ,of course you can sell your domain.I have seen many forums offer a place for people to sell their domain name.I always heard that old domain can be resellered with a high cost.

I once owned about 50 domain names about 2-3 years ago. I was really inspired by vodka.com. I sold one and lost a few hundred dollars on the rest. Money can be made at it, but it is not and easy or affordable way to try it.

If you are going to mess with it, find an incredible domain name that everyone else missed, buy that one only and see what happens.

You may park your domain and make some money. Also you can earn via google adsense and other programs like adsense. But for that you need to have contents on your website.

If I were you, then I would either go with the Google Adsense thing they were talking about, or post it up on a domain selling site. You can also make a page with links to the bidding page and you could set up a simple contact form, telling people that your domain is for sale. Then, when people are checking to see if a domain is taken by using the visiting method, where they visit the domain, they will see your page and most likely ask for a bid.

I would suggest you to create a blog on it and post some articles to get the search engine to index your site. Place some adsense and get more people to visit it.
