Domain Aliances
I have been thinking. The amount of people inputing 'Hamster Palace' into google is next to nothing unless they have all ready visted there. However if i was to register more domain names to my hosting account surely i would get into some top results on google if i had a domain name such as 'Hamster-care.com'
Im not saying that domains are everything that pulls traffic im just saying if someone wanted to find information they are more likely to wildcard 'Hamstercare.com' or something.
What do you guys think?

Domain names are so cheap these days you can always register hamster-care.com and have it redirect to your main site. GoDaddy.com has free domain forwarding among other registrars. Many people do that and I think it's a good idea if you come up with some good domains that are still available.

The think i hate about the net these days is you get these stupid parked sites, with nothing but links and no content. Not even a website and then they expect you to contact them and pay premium prices for a regular domain name!
 Disgrace.

Yeah that does get frustrating, particularly if it's a name you really want.

Hi Guys
Where do you guys go to purchase other Domain names?
If I am using SBI and have my first Domain name set up do I buy
other Domain names through SBI or not? For example could I have
two or three sites hosted by SBI and use the SBI package that I have now to build them?
Can someone advise how this all works as you branch into your
second and third site.
Thanks.

When you buy SBI!, the domain name comes with the price. It's included in the $299/yr. But you only get one domain per site. If you want to buy additional domains to redirect to your main site you can buy them from SBI! at $9/yr.

If I use SBI! and wish to buy additional domain names, can I buy them through godaddy (for example) and direct them to my SBI! site, or would I have to by them from SBI!?

You can buy them from GoDaddy but you'd have to transfer them over to SBI! (free). But since the $299/yr covers the cost for the hosting and domain, you might as well wait to register them with SBI!.

If you mean having one SBI website with multiple names redirected to it, yes you can use GoDaddy or any other registrar. SBI also offers the service through Name Park It. It doesn't really matter which registrar you use as long as they are using 301 redirects.
For what it's worth I use GoDaddy for all of my additional domain names and have them redirected to my SBI site.

Oh yes, Greg1 is right. I thought you meant could you buy multiple domains at a registrar and host them all at SBI! for $299/year. If you want to redirect additional domains to your site that can be done through godaddy as Greg1 states.
