I've used domainguru dot net for my domains for about 8-10 years now. never had a problem. I highly recommend them! it's good to have your domains registered somewhere separate to where your hosting will be.. in case you want to change hosting.

Well there are always a few things you may want to take into account. Many registrars offer lots of free stuff if you sign up with them (blogs, photo galleries etc), but often these are of a low standard.

My advice, you have two options:

1) GoDaddy - probably the cheapest option, lots of free gimmicks etc.

2) Name.com - slightly more expensive, but offers free Private WHOIS (which attracts a lot of people)

I suppose you should just search the net and see if there are any other registrars which cater for something more specific, if you want to.
