I have registered a free domain of the type www.yourdomain.co.cc for my new site. I would be grateful if you could share your experience with free domains like this.
I have heard that this kind of domains don't get indexed in Major search engines like Google and Yahoo! I really want to know whether a .co.cc domain would get indexed by Google.
Thanks in Advance
They index all domain but my UK domains get a better placement in google.co.uk than they do in google.com.
I'm not sure how the more "generic" domains like .cc and .tv would fare. .cc was used fairly widely by community colleges in the US before .edu was brought in. So I imagine they don't get penalised by google.

Bob

This is a question that has been in the back of my mind for the longest! I too have a free dot cc. However, in all of my search engine browsing I don't think I have ever come across one...hmmm. So I really can't say if they get indexed at all or as much as others.

Actually to practice domain indexing and actual webpage tweaking you can use free-phphost.com and byethost.com it is really domain managing with c-panel management and ftp uploading with backups.
For some reason, I had been under the impression that .co.cc was only a redirection service and not an official TLD.... I don't really know, though, am I wrong?
