Angry Godaddy

i tried to register domain from godaddy.com. i thought it"s only 1.99 per year.

while i was ready to checkout process..price was showing 10.19. i emailed them..they responded..

Support Staff Response:
The $1.99 price is only good when you buy a non-domain product. That is the only way to get that pricing, the normal pricing is the $10.19. We appreciate your business and look forward to hearing from you.

wtf..............................

Yeah that's a special they've been having for quite some time and as one of their resellers it confuses my customers too so that's why I don't promote that special heavily. At least on my reseller store it explains you have to order a non domain product right on the homepage so people don't get to the shopping cart and have the same response as you did.

It is a bit misleading.

If you look online you can find GoDaddy coupons that should decrease the cost a bit.

Last time I checked Yahoo was having their $1.99 domain special for the first year. I think it goes up to $9.99 after that.

Go to Google and type in GODADDY DISCOUNTS and look for that will apply.
I have 109 urls with them.
The customer service is very good and they are in the US.
Stay away from APlus.net.

I don't know much about hostmonster but I can say cpanel is very easy to use. You don't have to know much about MYSQL because the cpanel environment sets everything for you.

For example, if you didn't have CPanel you'd have to setup your MYSQL database manually through your host and FTP WordPress up to your server.

With Cpanel you just select "Install WordPress" and CPanel sets up your database and uploads the WordPress files for you.
