Default Interesting Question

Hello Everyone,

So I've been thinking of creating a new website with my "niche" and then I started thinking about purchasing a couple of domain names and essentially duplicating sites to see if I could increase cash flow through ads or simply better the odds of folks seeing the information I'll be putting out there.

Here's my question, does anyone know if Google has a policy in place against this when using AdSense? If one webmaster duplicates websites and uses AdSense on all of them, is there a problem with this?

Just curious if anyone had any comments on this.

Thanks.

Google do frown upon these kind of sites, making them just for Adsense. Its a grey area if they would ban your account as some people have when others are at it constantly.

You also need to watch with their search engine, they are trying to weed out or down play duplicated sites.

I would focus on one niche site and build it to get more exposure. Then move into start another niche site and so on.

Thanks Gavin.

I'm sure Google is well capable of weeding out duplicated websites and you're right - it's probably best to focus on one site.

I was just curious as to what others thought.

Thanks for the reply.

You can buy multiple domains and then use a domain mask or domain redirect and google will not penalize you for it, as you are not duplicating your content just using extra domain names.

I've heard that Google will apply a penalty, as well, for duplicate content...so you end up appearing lower in search engine results.
