Default How Much Is Too Much???

When it comes to content on a website, who often should new content be updated?

I can honestly say that I am adding new content (at least 2 or 3) just about every single day on my site... whether it's material I've written, material I liked and picked up from article submission sites, or material that has been submitted.

Is updating new content every day a good idea?
And... does updating it too frequently like that confuse search engines?

Default it depends?

Hi Kato, I guess the old adage of quality is better than quantity applies.. I think with a new website adding content regularly might be recommended in the beginning to help build the site, but after that 3-4 posts a week might be all that is needed... but it depends on what your site is about. At the end of the day quality content is what is most important though!

Weekly update is fine, but if you can do it on a daily basis, why not!? Wish I have the time too. I rarely update my sites. I agree with everyone, it's the quality that matters.
