Like why did you create 2createawebsite.com ?
When I created my first website in 1998 there were very few tutorial websites that explained the process of building a website from start to finish. So I wanted to create a more comprehensive website that includes the steps from registering your domain name, building your pages, promotion and affiliate marketing.
Has it been a hard road getting to where you are today?
Hard? No. A lot of work? Yes! When you enjoy what you do, it comes much easier. Never once has this felt like a job to me.
Is webdesign something you think everyone can do?
Absolutely. You just need the desire to learn and the motivation to continue.
Any tips or suggestions you want to tell beginners ?
Get a basic understanding of HTML and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) when you start. I didn't learn CSS until many years later and discovered how much easier it is to maintain and manipulate a website when you realize the benefits of having a stylesheet.
Do you think it's fun and creative thing to do ?
I don't consider myself a web designer. I feel that I am an affiliate who does web design. So getting into detailed programming and coding is honestly not very fun for me. But now that I know more about CSS, it is very rewarding when I discover cleaner, more efficient ways of building and managing my website.
That's one reason the tutorials on 2 Create a Website are very simple. There are many people who don't necesarily want to learn the nuts and bolts of web design but want to learn the basics in order to create a decent website. That's who I target on my site.
Do you consider creating a website hard or easy and why that answer?
Well that answer is going to vary depending on a person's dedication, motivation and own skills. For me it has not been that difficult. I think if you spend time learning about the basics of HTML and CSS and/or pickup a good editor like Dreamweaver, then it won't be that difficult. You just have to take it a step at a time.
