I constantly read about protecting your web content from theft. Now, I too am starting to get a little scared about getting my blog content stolen. What can I do to protect my blog? Is Creative commons the same thing as a copyright? What should I do?
By law, and content you create is copyrighted to you. Adding the Creative Commons logo on your page enforces that copyright.
Unfortunately, others may steal your content. If that happens you should contact the Webmaster of the site about removing the content. If that doesn't work you can then contact the host, and even other sites such as Google.
If any site that does steal your content uses Adsense, then contacting Google Adsense will help ensure they no longer make money from your site.

What TE said. ^^' There will always be idiots out there, don't be surprised if people do try to take your stuff. But brush it off. Copiers are severly punished by google (and if google hates you, you're almost done for!) and other search engines, I'm sure.
I use to ponder over the same thing. But don't sweat it. The World Wide Web is just too big to regulate completely. It's like trying to control Spammers or stopping weeds from growing; you'll never eliminate every knucklehead. It's just not gonna happen. All you can do is try to lessen the chance of you content being stolen. I'd suggest placing a copyright logo publicizing your ownership to you content/blog. Also use a complimentary web service like - copyscape.com - that will be a 'watchdog' over your content and alert you of any violators.
