Default TOO MUCH CONTENT FOR ONE PAGE!?

http://alternative-fashion.com/lolita.html

I HAVE A QUESTION.

I started that page, and I had no idea it would be huge. xD But it's pretty big and I'm going to expand it =/ So perhaps I should split it up? I can't decide.

But isn't it potentially dangerous for SEO'ing to split a page up? Or is it actually beneficial?

Hey Augenauf,

Can't give you a definitive answer on the SEO question but, you could potentially keep all the content on one page and utilize javascript to shorten the page size.

Check here

All the text and content will still be present, which is what the spiders read, and won't diminish the content as the spiders effectively ignore the javascript.

Hope that helps.

Oh thank you! I appreciate it, but I'm not so sure if I'm fond of those kinds of sites.

I wouldn't think there'd be a problem with splitting a page up or writing a second page of related content. People do it all the time. Your second page of content can be focused around a different keyword to maximize/multiply your SEO results. To the search engine spiders a page is a page -- and as long as it doesn't have duplicate content I don't see any problem. Besides, many people usually lose focus with lonnng content. But don't get me wrong... studies have shown that lonnng content may be good in certain situations - especially for sales letters. However, generally speaking, I don't think most people want to plow through it. Many will view it as Indigestible.

Smile Sub Topics

It sounds like you have a lot of valuable information!

To let the viewers get the most out of it, split it up into sub topics each with their own page. This way people will learn more, and want to come back. Keep up the fresh content, and remember quality not quantity, although both are good
