Default Technorati, I feel violated

I recently searched Goggle for some of my keyword phrases that I used in a Wordpress blog and also on some Youtube video uploads. To my surprise Technorati has "Stolen" my content from Youtube and Wordpress along with my videos and posted them on their site.

Now here is why I feel as though I have been violated. Technorati is loaded with advertisements and they are making money off of my labor.

I have invested over 20 hours into those videos and blog posts that they are reaping the benefits from.

That just aint right

How do you all feel about this?

I have never heard of them until I found all my stuff on their site.

I think Technorati retrieves you posts from your feeds when you signup with them. It is a way of cataloging the various Blogs and other sites to allow others to search for specific content.

I haven't had a problem with them, but others may feel differently.

Technorati is a pretty reputable blog ranking site, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. They ping your data and republish it. Like TG, I haven't had any problems either. I'm assuming you don't have an account with them since you said you've never heard of them so I guess the only way to have your info removed would be to contact them.

I'm sorry you feel violated. If your site wasn't accredited, I'd definitely contact the admins.

For me, I had heard of Technorati, never created an account and found one of my sites listed there. Because they linked the site, I didn't take it as violation. Instead, I took it as a compliment because it meant that someone visited and posted my site on a credible tech site.

I would love to say that I was ripped off by such a big site but I am sorry to say I can't. Not that it is an honor to have your content stolen, but this tells you that you are putting out some of the best content on the web or they would not mess with it in the first place right?

Thanks for all of the input about Technorati. I would say that the comments so far are like everything else in life, whatever you focus on becomes magnified. Thanks for trying to change my focus.

I have sent Technorati a request to have my videos and content removed.
