Default Wordpress & Mailman (Mailing List)

I have trouble setting up mailing list. I got Mailman installed on the server by default and I have downloaded Mailman Integration plugin for wordpress, but I just cant figure out how it works.

While looking @ FTP mailman is installed in dir /Mail. When I place it to Mailman Integration plugin then it just says
Quote:
Path verification successfull, your setup looks ok.
But it cant find any mailing list I have done in cPanel for Mailman.

But Mailman also seems to be installed at www.domain.com/mailman, so when I input either /mailman or full path with domain it still says "Path verification succesfull.. blah blah". But still cannot find a mailing list I have made.

Also, this "Path verification successfull.." message it gives seems worthless, even if I put it as /asdafw11 it says the path is ok..

At Options page in Wordpress it says "Wordpress-enabled lists" do I need to enable acces for wordpress in mailman somehow, or what?

If anyone has wordpress installed with mailman integration then please. Help me out

Hey MC,

Never used this plugin for WP but I'm assuming you activated the plugin after you installed it right? Probably a dumb question but I had to ask.

Yes, I activated plugin. Everything LOOKS like its working like it should, no errors or anything like that. But it only looks like it, nothing actually works. Im 95% sure it is just something I cant figure out, something stupidly simple.

If anyone knows another script (for wordpress or external, doesn't matter), then please suggest me some.

Hmmmm... no clue. Have you googled the script and looked for others discussing this on the WP forums? I'm sure you're not the first to have this problem.

Cant find anything.. In installation notes it says that it checks some files in the directory to verify if mailman is installed there, if it is it says so and tells you what version mailman is running at that dir.

For me it says it is correct directory even if there ain't files needed by plugin. And I could only wish that it shows version of mailman running..

I have taken a look that the readme.txt file of the plugin and I suspect your case is due to the incorrect path to the mailman.

I am not sure of your hosting server setup, in a typical redhat / cpanel setup, mailman is in :-

/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/

if you have SSH access to the system, you can try :-

locate add_members and see what the system gives you, for example for above path, it should look like :-

/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/add_member

Hope this helps.
