There was a time a while ago when I made some blogs and tried to market them and get them high on search engines. Never really worked out for me. It was a lot of hard work to market the blogs and even more work to update them everyday. In the end I gave up on blogs.

I think what Lisa said is true, people who have successful blogs already have successful sites and they're already very adept at marketing.

I just check out your golf site (at least I think it's yours). Just a few things I observed.

I am by no means an expert and still learning myself.

1. It took a very long time to load. More than 3 minutes to download the google video stuff. I don't think many people will stick around that long waiting for things to load.

2. The posts are long which is good, but hard to read. There are no paragragh breaks.

3. The ads are blended very nicely. Good job.

If I have a blogger / blogspot account then how do I add Google news feed to my blog to make it take relevant news stories and publish everyday?

I used to use the newsreel widget in Blogger with my blog. You simply enter some keywords and it would display news associated with those keywords. It was really easy to do.
