Default Choosing Blog Topics

Hi all,

New to the forum. I have a website and a blog, and I was curious to know for those of you that have blogs, do you blog about something that has come to you during the week or do you make up a list of topics as you think of them and pick from the list when you are ready to blog?

Thanks for your input!

my likes are art, writing, and most things computer related. On any given day, I'm dabbling in either, so I tend to write about one of those. I try to stick with what I know.

Exactly that ! Topics come to my head all the time and i tend to write them down (or even begin a draft post) that i finish one or two days later.

If I am hit with a burst of inspiration and an article starts coming together in my head, I sit down and write it even if it's not really the right time to publish it. I can use it later. Most of the time, I just get bits and pieces of ideas throughout the week and jot them down to expand on later.

Thank you! That really helps a lot. I do notice that I will sometimes think of things and when I go to blog about them later, I have forgotten some of the topics that came to mind. Great suggestions!

Always keep a small notepad and pencil on your person, and jot down any idea that pops into your head wherever you are, even if it's just a word or two, that you can later refer to, that will remind you of what you thought about. In particular, try jot down ideas related to what you hear people asking you or asking other people nearby. If they need to know the answer to something, there are likely to be many others looking for that same answer on the Internet, and why not allow them to find that answer on your blog?

I do a bit of both. I try to keep my posts relevant to current events in my chosen niche but there will be times when the creative juices just are not flowing. Then the list of potential posts comes out

I would like to choose two topic for my blog.
1. Celebrities
2. Sportsman
Because both are very famous and people like to read about that.

If you can write for both, why not? But, if you need to choose one, choose the topic you have interest more compare the other.

My blog is a reflection of my life. What I do in my everyday life, that is what I blog about.

When I video blog, then I might go out of my way to drive to a certain location and film a video.

If I need pictures for my blog, I might drive somewhere to take a certain picture.

But the text articles are about my everyday life.
