Hi everyone

Well my blog got hacked, at least I think it did, basically I had an advertisement in the sidebar and when I was checking it the other day someone had changed it, deleted the advertisement and added an LOL "unsuitable" image instead. Also I have found my content, several full posts on two other blogs, all in the last week.

I haven't had this happen before so I wanted to ask, would the person have had to have access to my whole account or could the image have been changed without them getting into my account? It's quite worrying as it's my main google account as in adsense, blogger and email.

Obviously I know the content is a different matter, they simply copied and pasted, not even bothering to change the font or colours, annoying though that is it dosent bother me as much

Any advice?

It's really important to keep your blog software updated.

Being open source code hackers can work out the vulnerabilites quicker than the software can supply fixes.

It is also important to keep a backup of your site just in case anything happens.

It may be worth chasing up the stolen pages or it may be your site that gets penalised by google for duplicate content.

Don' worry, it's almost certain that he just hacked your site and instead of fully defacing it, he decided to change your ads. If you have not used your google adsense password as your database password for example, you really have nothing to worry about.

I haven't found any other problems so far although it was my main google account, open id for blogspot. I changed my password, I may transfer all my blogs to a different email that's not connected to my main account just to be on the safe side

Oh,my site also be hacked,and they add their url in my code and the users could not see it.But when i found it,i have cleared it.
