After considering the benefits of wordpress, I think maybe it would be a good idea to switch form blogger to wordpress, but is there a way to import the posts and comments from blogger to wordpress, maybe a redirect or something and also without losing the pageranking and the keywords that I appear for in google?
I went from Blogger to Wordpress and it was easy. I have written about my how I did it on my blog. Wordpress includes an import feature that allows you to easily import your posts and comments from Blogger to Wordpress.
I believe you can then redirect Blogger to point to your Wordpress blog, but I'm not certain. I had a custom domain so it was just a matter of moving my domain over to my Wordpress blog.

thanks Techieguy, but i heard that sense Google changed from blogger to blogger beta that import feature isn't as easy as it was, did you hear about that
Are you using the askimet plugin? Also make sure you set your comments so you have to moderate them before posting. You can do this by going to the Settings menu.

I'm not sure how it was before, but I just converted to WordPress in August, and had no problems at all.
One thing you can try is install Wordpress on your local machine (Lisa has instructions on her blog), and then run the import to test out the process. You can import many times without affecting your Blogger blog.
Biffster, I agree with Lisa. You should definitely install the Akismet plugin as it has dramatically reduced the number of spam comments on my blog.
